No - this is NOT an April Fool's Joke: HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Gov. Tom Corbett says the state bus — a throwback to his Democratic predecessor — is going on the auction block. The Republican stood beside the 41-foot motor coach Wednesday at a news conference in a PennDOT garage in Harrisburg. He says it'll be sold at an upcoming auction in Centre County. Corbett says the vehicle, covered in a colorful wrap bearing the slogan "Government on Wheels," has traveled less than 26,000 miles over the past eight years while costing taxpayers $66,000 to maintain. The bus needs a new transmission module and cannot move under its own power. Corbett says it symbolizes what's wrong with state government — it's outdated, inefficient and broken down. But he acknowledges that he traveled in a similar vehicle in last year's campaign.
